Apprenticeship

Take your first steps toward stable ownership on the Oregon coast, under the guidance of Danielle Holloway.

Apprenticeship at Mistvale Hollow

A Foundation for Future Owners

Apprenticeships are a required step to stable ownership within Spur. They give members a real foundation — learning what it means to run a facility, make decisions, and care for horses at a serious level, before striking out on their own.

At Mistvale Hollow, apprentices erect their own stalls and amenities on our property outside Morrow Bay, Oregon — a quiet stretch of coastal forest where the fog comes in off the Pacific and the mornings smell like cedar and salt. It's a place that teaches patience by its very nature.

All apprentices maintain a website listing their horses, facilities, and any information they'd like to share. Apprenticeships run a minimum of thirty (30) days or 25 forum posts — whichever comes first. To apply, reach out to Danielle via the forum.
